How To Get Out Of a Winter Slump❄️

In winter everything feels slower and it's so easy to fall into your bed and lose routine. If you've been feeling unmotivated or tired or even just lazy- you are in a winter slump. Don't worry, implementing a few changes can fix that and have you back in your old routine.



  1. Get off screens

    Doomscrolling and social media are the main reasons for seasonal slumps and unproductiveness. For the sake of your mental health and future self, put your phone on do not distrub. Block all games, tv shows, social media or anything keeping you from getting things done. It'll be hard at first but watching your screentime go down and your wellbeing increase will be worth it.

  2. Get your life together

    Your surrounding have a big impact on your mood and energy levels. Deep cleaning your room is part of your transformastion. You need to become a whole different person and it starts with your room. For clothes, if you haven't worn it in a year, toss it. Don't keep clutter that you truly don't need invading your space. Redo your shelves, change out wall art, dust windows, vaccum floors, wash sheets and bedspreads. I promise you will feel renewed with this step alone.

  3. Look good feel good

    It's not just a saying, it's true. Everyday get out of your pjs and put on a cute fit. I swear this lightens your mood and makes you feel less tired. Also make sure you are consistently doing your skincare routine. Something simple, basic, refreshing, whatever works for your skin. You can also do your makeup and your hair because getting out of a slump takes initiative and confidence. A little glitz and glam won't hurt.

  4. Priorities

    I know you have better things to do than rot all day. Usually people fall into the winter slump because of their lack of regulated sleep and fall into laziness. Just because it's cold outside doesn't mean you have any less to do. Fall alseep earlier and don't stay up to late. This ensures you will wake up earlier and it's proven that if you wake up before noon there are many health benefits, physically and mentally. Don't let things run you down, motivation is key to locking in and reaching your goals. Going to the gym is a good way to get out of a slump because winter is the perfect time to start. By summer you will be looking tea and it'll be worth it when you look toned and tanned.
