Clean Girl Night Routine🧖‍♀️🫧

After a long day, all you want to do is reset and relax before you drift off to sleep. This routine is productive but simple and leaves you feeling refreshed and cozy. These nighttime rituals might seem high-maintenance but when you wake up feeling refreshed and good, you'll thank yourself. Here's my step-by-step clean girl night routine.

  • Get Unready🧖‍♀️

Take off your makeup and get out of sweaty clothes. Removing your makeup is essential to unclogging your pores, decreasing the chance of acne, resetting your face and keeping your pillows and sheets clean. A cleansing balm works great for this because it gets into every crevice of your face but micellar water works great too. This can include removing jewelry and taking out hair clips and ties. This also signals to the brain that you're winding down and helps improve sleep.

  • Everything Shower🫧

Exfoliate, cleanse, shave, shampoo, condition, get everything done so that you can get into clean sheets and wake up not feeling sweaty and smelly. Taking a shower before bed or a hot bath also signals your body to calm down and relieve stress and tension from the day.

  • Skincare🧴

Applying face masks, eye patches, moisturizers, treatments, serums and jade rolling are perfect ways to achieve clean girl skin. Once you apply these, they have all night to absorb into your skin barrier. So you can wake up and feel glowy and low maintenance (even though clean girls only appear low maintenance).

  • Clean Room🧺

Cleaning up your messy room and putting away laundry helps ease your mind. It's one less thing to do tomorrow and you can prioritize other things and get this out of the way. And when you get out of bed you can find things easier and not trip on all of your stuff.

  • Put Phone Away📱

I know this sounds crazy, but reducing your screentime before bed is good for you and helps improve your sleep. If you have a nightly show you watch before sleep then do it 30 minutes before then put your phone away and on do not disturb. This also reduces blue light and you will be able to sleep earlier.

  • Journal📖

Journaling before bed acts as a brain dump. You can finally release everything from that day and help process everything especially if you are stressed. If journaling isn't your thing, reading is also good and helps make you sleepy.

  • Unwind and Reset☕️

Meditating, yoga, deep breathing, light stretching, drinking herbal tea are all great ways to reset and release muscle tension. It also soothes your mind and body and prepares you for sleep.

This clean girl routine helps me feel calm and unwind from a long day and prepares me for a night of deep sleep. Being consistent with these nightly rituals will have you being your best self and your routine will be Pinterest-worthy.
